A challenge: Is there a holiday marketing season for B2B?

The holiday season is an important time of year, when companies make budgets for the following year. Now is the time to contact them to remind them to put a line-item in for your product type. If there's not budget next year, the sale will be all the harder!
I'd concentrate on making it easy for the customer to have a nice round number to put in the budget. Remember, you are solving his problem of creating a budget right now, not trying to accurately evaluate his/her requirement.
Call back in January to see if the round number made it in the budget and if so, see how you can move things forward.
Sorry, no christmas sales or hokey promos in this suggestion--just good timing.
