Free competitive advertising from Google!

Wow, I just found this. I just Googled my main competitor to see who was running AdWords against their brand name. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and voila, there it was:
searches related to: [my competitor]

Searches related to : [Brand-X]
[my brand] [Brand-Y]

Google obviously knows that BrandX and my company are the top players in the same business. (Brand-Y is in a different market and is just one letter off from my competitor's brand.)

Wow, free advertising on searches for their brand without pissing them off. Thanks Google!

Thanks for pointing this out. I just tried it on one of our clients and Google lists our client's competitors on the bottom, but when I search for the competitors, Google doesn't list my client. That doesn't seem fair! Do you know anyway around that?

David--I noticed the same thing...a search for my brand doesn't generate such a listing. No idea why. Thanks for commenting.

Because the search engines results change so much I recommend to visit more updated changes about search engines results in searchengineland.com or searchenginewatch.com

When posting screenshots.. I recommend to use Snagit, easy and fast to manipulate the pictures
