Its starting: iPhone as a premium for response

I got my first B2B email offering a ‘free iPhone’ if I complete an insertion order for a directory listing of a major pub.

This promotion comes from MediaBrains, who say the offer is for IO’s worth $4,800 by June 30th. You can get a $500 gift card instead.

Dunno what else to really say, except that it is a very expensive premium to offer. But attention getting. Hope it doesn’t get the attention of anyone’s boss after they sign up for a listing just to get the phone.

    What I want to know is how these companies plan to get their hands on the iPhone, when people are camped out in front of the store to buy them and CEOs can’t get their hands on them. Do they plan to get them on eBay?

    The issues isn’t about the iPhone availability it’s about the cost of the directory listing. Yes, I got the offer too. $4800 for an online directory listing is pretty steep, so much so, I had to verify with the print publication that the relationship with Media Brains was legit. It is. Still, we recommended that our client not make the buy.

    Same here, but i dont like the Iphone. Its purely hype. There are other phone which has the same features as the Iphone. Take for example the LG CHocoloate which i got from < HREF="http://www.bestcellularphoneserviceplans.com" REL="nofollow">http://www.bestcellularphoneserviceplans.com<>, they are also touch screen and has the same capabilities as the iphone.
